The Yellow Spot, a Single Pot Still Whiskey, was launched in London on May 23, 2012. Yellow Spot is characterized by its minimum aging period of 12 years, during which it matures in three different types of casks: Bourbon Barrels, Sherry Butts, and Malaga Casks. This variety in cask maturation gives it a broad spectrum of flavors.

Behind the production of Yellow Spot are the Irish Distillers, who are thus continuing the traditional line of Mitchell & Son. Already in the first third of the 20th century, Mitchell & Son had launched innovative whiskeys with the Spot range, consisting of Green Spot, Yellow Spot, Blue Spot, and Red Spot. Each of these names reflected a different aging period and cask combination, which gave them unique flavor profiles.

By continuing this tradition, Irish Distillers emphasizes the importance of craftsmanship and historical heritage in whiskey production. At the same time, the complexity and quality of Yellow Spot demonstrate the ongoing innovation and adaptability in the production of Irish whiskeys.
