Ableforth's Bathtub Gin is a distinctive, handcrafted gin that stylistically harks back to the traditions of the American Prohibition era and is produced using the cold compounding method. This production principle, in which spices and botanicals macerate directly in the base alcohol, gives the gin its pronounced spiciness and aromatic depth. While in the 1920s inferior alcohol was often steeped in improvised containers such as bathtubs, Ableforth's today exclusively uses high-quality alcohol distilled in pot stills. Only 30 to 60 bottles are produced for each batch, underlining the artisanal claim and exclusivity of this bottling.

The botanicals used include juniper, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel, which give the gin its unmistakable character. The iconic, rustic packaging design with paper wrap and wax seal is a deliberate homage to historical spirit bottles from the Prohibition era. Bottled at 43.3% alcohol by volume, the gin presents itself as aromatically dense, spicy, and at the same time elegant, ideal for lovers of intense, classic gin profiles.
