As a Mezcal Joven (young mezcal), it is not aged in barrels after distillation, allowing its original flavors and characteristic smokiness to come through particularly clearly.

The basis of this mezcal is the Espadín agave, one of the most popular agave varieties for mezcal production. After harvesting, the agave hearts are slowly roasted over wood fires in underground stone ovens, creating the typical smoky note. They are then crushed with stone mills, traditionally fermented, and double-distilled. This careful production process ensures a complex, aromatic flavor profile with mineral, fruity, and spicy nuances.
