Lillet Rouge is a full-bodied, intensely aromatic aperitif wine from the southwest of France, specifically from the small town of Podensac near Bordeaux. With an alcohol content of 17% by volume, it is the deep-red brother of the well-known Lillet Blanc – more powerful in expression, yet equally finely balanced and stylish. Lillet Rouge is made from a careful cuvée of red Bordeaux wines – predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon – which are enriched with fruit macerates of oranges, exotic fruits, and selected herbs. A hint of cinchona bark gives the aperitif its subtle bitter note.

Maturation takes place over several months in small oak barrels, which gives Lillet Rouge its smooth texture and the harmonious combination of fruit, spice, and structure.
