Description
On the rugged coast of the unique Isle of Skye, south of Dunvegan, nestled directly on the shore of a bay as if by magic, lies the snow-white little Talisker distillery. Two brothers founded the distillery in 1831. After their death, numerous others attempted to continue running the distillery. All failed until a financial administrator and a wine and spirits merchant successfully took over. Talisker was triple distilled until 1928, after which it was only double distilled. After a fire in 1960, the distillery was rebuilt true to the original. Today, Talisker belongs to the spirits group Diageo.
This Talisker matured in heavily charred oak casks on the remote Isle of Skye. It is the smokiest Talisker ever produced by the distillery. It is the successor to Talisker Storm and is supplied without an age statement.
