"Cofradia" means unity, brotherhood, and friendship.

The tequila distillery was given this name because, despite modern technology, it insists on traditional methods for producing its tequilas.

The distillery was founded more than 50 years ago in the state of Jalisco in Mexico, and today up to 15,000 liters of tequila are produced here daily.

The blue agaves used for production grow for approximately 8 years.

Another key element is the clear mountain water from the surrounding area. The harvested agave hearts are first roasted in one of two special brick ovens, then fermented in stainless steel tanks, and finally distilled. The finished distillate is then either bottled directly as young tequila or aged for up to two years in white oak barrels.

To keep the temperature in the halls cool and humid, the distillery has planted mango trees there specifically. These prevent the barrel wood from drying out and too much alcohol from evaporating.
