Unlike newer versions, this "old" edition was not yet produced using the Solera process, but was traditionally aged. This noble rum is based on Sugar Cane Honey, which is aged in the highlands of Guatemala at over 2,400 meters above sea level.

The aging takes place in a careful selection of Bourbon whiskey and Sherry wine casks, including many Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which provide a profound sweetness. A significant portion of the blend also matured in French oak casks that previously contained sweet Moscatel wine, which gives this rum incomparable aromatic depth. Over a year, the rums were married to create a perfect balance - with an average age of 23 years, this blend offers an exceptionally smooth and complex taste experience.
