Description
The Bunnahabhain Distillery, located on the picturesque coast of the Isle of Islay, was founded in 1881 and is known for its unique, unpeated whiskies. The distillery originally relied on sea trade and experienced a turning point in 1960 with the construction of a new road that improved logistics. After a brief closure in the 1930s and the last ship arrival in 1993, the road became the main supply route. In 2006, after being acquired by Burn Stewart Distillers, the brand profile received a modern redesign. The water for the whiskies comes from limestone springs and is piped to the distillery without peat contact, which gives the whiskies their mild, distinctive taste.
Bunnahabhain TOITEACH A DHÀ is the successful successor to the popular Bunnahabhain Toiteach. With a name that translates to "smoky two" in English, this whisky announces an exciting continuation. Compared to its predecessor, the sherry content has been increased, which adds additional richness to the elegant character of this Islay whisky. The TOITEACH A DHÀ is bottled without chill-filtration and without the addition of colorants, to preserve the purity and authenticity of the whisky.
