In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles, a third-generation farmer, runs the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal Institute for Viticulture and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums, and peaches. His foray into distilling noble brandies began in 1979, followed by the establishment of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the product range includes around twenty noble brandies and just as many vinegars, which regularly receive awards.

Gölles Alte Marille Apricot Brandy matures for 8 years in oak barrels and is closely linked to Austrian fruit tradition. It is primarily made from the "Ungarische Beste" or "Wachauer Marille" varieties, cultivated in Central Burgenland. This base is complemented by a selection of modern varieties from Styria. The fully ripe apricots are harvested every July to ensure the high quality and intense aroma of the apricot brandy.
