Hansen President is an excellent rum with an alcohol content of 42% vol., characterised by its long ageing and the resulting complexity. Originally bottled as a clear, high-quality distillate, this rum acquires its characteristic golden-yellow colour and its finely balanced, full-bodied aroma through ageing in casks. The long ageing process lends it a depth and smoothness that is particularly prized in the world of rum.

The name ‘Hansen Präsident’ has an interesting history: in 1927, when Reich President Hindenburg inaugurated the Hindenburgdamm, he was presented with a bottle of Hansen Rum. His enthusiasm for the product gave rise to the idea of naming the brand ‘Hansen Präsident’ in future – a tribute to this historic moment. Hansen Rum is therefore not only a premium spirit, but also a piece of German history. With its refined flavour and elegant presentation, it is perfect for enjoying neat or in cocktails, where its delicate aromas can really come into their own.
