The Hampden Estate company was founded in 1753 and has been distilling rum for around three centuries in the parish of Trelawny, which is considered the Grand Cru of Jamaican rum. In 2009, a new era began in the spirits world: The company started maturing its Pure Single Rum. Hampden Estate, the only brand for high-proof rums, is known worldwide for its variety of distillates.

The unique and exceptional Hampden Estate Classic was produced exclusively from the HLCF marque and wins the hearts of rum lovers with its intense and uncompromising taste experience. HLCF stands for Hampden Light Continental Flavoured and is one of several marques representing rums with a high ester concentration between 400 and 600 gr/HLPA. The truly refined Hampden is distilled in copper pot stills, using only local sugarcane from the distillery's surroundings. It is aged for seven years in oak barrels. Bottling is done without the addition of colorings or sugar.
