It undergoes up to 21 years of aging using the traditional Solera method, with an average age of 16 years.

This rum achieves its extraordinary complexity through a double cask maturation: first, it ages in ex-bourbon barrels, which impart delicate vanilla and caramel notes. This is followed by a 12 to 16-month refinement in American ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which add additional fruity, spicy, and nutty accents. This double maturation ensures an incomparably deep interplay of aromas and an excellent balance between sweetness, spice, and oak notes.
