After an initial maturation in Bourbon and Sherry casks, the Green Spot Château Montelena receives its special finish in French Zinfandel wine casks from the famous winery. This secondary maturation gives the whiskey a complex fruitiness, velvety tannins, and a light spiciness that harmonizes perfectly with the creamy-soft pot still character.
