The Ailsa Bay Sweet Smoke Single Malt Scotch Whisky Release 1.2 48.9% Vol. 0.7 l is a modern and innovative bottling from the still young Ailsa Bay Distillery, founded in 2007 by William Grant & Sons in Girvan (Lowlands). The distillery is known for its high-tech distillation methods, which it uses to produce whiskies of exceptional precision and consistency.


Release 1.2 Sweet Smoke matured in a combination of fresh, heavily charred American oak casks and casks that previously held sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry. This maturation gives the whisky its exciting interplay of sweet fruitiness and intense smokiness. Bottled at 48.9% Vol., with natural color and without chill filtration, it presents itself as authentic, powerful, and complex.
