In the late 1990s, a group of friends had the ambitious plan to establish the first whisky distillery in Wales in over a century. Their goal was to create a whisky as pure and precious as Welsh gold. In 2004, on St. David's Day, this dream became a reality when Penderyn Whisky was born. The distillery owes its uniqueness, among other things, to the copper still designed by Dr. David Faraday, featuring a special pot still. It is located in the village of Penderyn, at the southern end of the Brecon Beacons. The pure spring water from the region significantly contributes to the quality of the exceptional Penderyn whiskies.

Penderyn PEATED Single Malt Welsh Whisky adds a special note to the portfolio of the Welsh distillery. This lightly peated whisky combines Welsh tradition with influences from the Scottish Highlands and Islay. Matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Scotch casks, Penderyn PEATED develops a balanced blend of sweet and smoky notes.
