The whisky is named after the traditional cask format "Hogshead," a symbol that also adorns the label. It is bottled in changing batches, whose composition always varies slightly, giving each edition its own individual character. In terms of color, the Hogshead presents itself in a natural, warm amber tone – uncolored and non-chill-filtered, to preserve the pure, unadulterated taste.
