Bareksten Botanical Gin 46% is a distinctive Norwegian distilled gin from the Oss Craft Distillery in Bergen, whose identity is closely linked to the unspoilt landscape of the Norwegian west coast. A traditional juniper base is combined with an extensive selection of Nordic-inspired botanicals, including wild blueberries, lingonberries, rhubarb, elderflower, mint and caraway, as well as numerous other herbs, fruits and spices. Norway’s long summer days and the alternation between comparatively warm days and cool nights create unique growing conditions for many herbs and berries. This connection to the Nordic flora forms an essential part of the Bareksten philosophy and gives the gin its distinctive, fruity and spicy profile.

Bareksten Botanical Gin is distilled in small batches to ensure the various botanicals are carefully incorporated into the distillate. Juniper forms the classic foundation, whilst citrus fruits, caraway, berries, herbs and floral notes add further complexity. With a robust 46% alcohol content, the gin has sufficient body to ensure that its complex botanical aromas come through clearly, whether enjoyed neat or in cocktails and long drinks. The 1-litre bottle offered here provides a particularly generous size of Bareksten Gin from Norway, combining small-batch distillation, Nordic botanicals and pronounced berry and spice notes to create a modern Scandinavian gin.
