Description
Description
The Tomatin Distillery, located on the eastern edge of the Monadhliath Mountains, offers perfect conditions for whisky production. The water used to make Tomatin Whisky comes from the Alt-na-Frith Burn, which flows through the nearby hills and is known for its purity.
Tomatin Cù Bòcan is a Highland Single Malt Whisky from the renowned Tomatin Distillery. Made from lightly peated barley, this single malt is distilled in limited batches during the winter months. These bottlings are experimental Highland Single Malts that explore the subtleties of smoke, the characters of different casks, and the mastery of maturation. The name Cù Bòcan, incidentally, comes from a legendary ghost dog said to have haunted Tomatin.
The Cù Bòcan SIGNATURE matures in a combination of Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry, and North American Virgin Oak casks. The bottling is done without chill-filtration, with natural coloring, and without an age statement, which underlines its authenticity and quality. These special characteristics make the Cù Bòcan SIGNATURE a unique whisky that perfectly combines traditional craftsmanship and the innovative experimental spirit of the Tomatin Distillery.
