The Ardbeg Wee Beastie 5 Years Old is the youngest whisky in the core range of the famous Islay distillery Ardbeg. With a robust alcohol content of 47.4% Vol. and a comparatively short maturation period of only 5 years, this single malt presents itself as particularly untamed, intense, and peat-driven – very much in the style of a wild "little beast," as its name already suggests.

Ardbeg is one of Scotland's most traditional distilleries: Whisky was unofficially distilled here since 1794 before it was officially founded by John McDougall in 1815. The name "Ardbeg" comes from Gaelic and means "small hill," a reference to its geographical location on the south coast of Islay, a region world-renowned for its heavily peated, maritime whiskies.

The Wee Beastie was specifically developed for lovers of intensely smoky and youthful whiskies. Its maturation in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks imparts not only the dominant peat note but also spicy, sweet, and subtly fruity accents.
