The Mars Shinshu Distillery, founded in 1985 in the Japanese Alps of Nagano, is Japan's highest-altitude whisky distillery. At 798 meters above sea level, it benefits from a cool climate and pure spring water from Mount Komagatake – ideal conditions for whisky production. After its reopening in 2011, the distillery gained international recognition and is now considered a flagship for excellent Japanese whisky.

This Mars Komagatake Single Malt, limited to 9,000 bottles, was released in 2018 specifically for the Japanese market and offers an unparalleled taste experience. It skillfully combines both peated and unpeated whiskies from the renowned Shinshu Distillery. Matured in bourbon casks as well as American white oak casks, the single malt acquires its characteristic depth and a rich, multi-layered aroma appreciated by connoisseurs.
