The Speyburn distillery, founded in 1897 by brothers John and Edward Hopkins in the Scottish Speyside region, is named after the nearby River Spey. After the distillery became the property of Scottish Malt Distillers in 1962 and was acquired by Pacific Spirits in 1991, it has belonged to International Beverage Holdings since 2006. The water needed, which comes from the Broad Burn and the Granty Burn, is used for production, while the whisky matures in sherry and ex-bourbon casks.

This travel exclusive bottling, matured for 16 years exclusively in American oak ex-bourbon casks, develops a dram distinguished by complex aromas. Particularly prominent are notes of spicy fruits, combining with a hint of creamy vanilla to give the whisky a special depth and balance.
