The Speyburn distillery, founded in 1897 by brothers John and Edward Hopkins in the Scottish Speyside region, takes its name from the nearby River Spey. After the distillery came under the ownership of Scottish Malt Distillers in 1962 and was acquired by Pacific Spirits in 1991, it has been part of International Beverage Holdings since 2006. The water required, which comes from the Broad Burn and the Granty Burn, is used for production, while the whisky matures in sherry and ex-bourbon casks.

The Speyburn 10 Years Old, which matures for at least 10 years in a harmonious combination of American ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, embodies the classic Speyside style. With its light, natural and sweet character, this whisky is an authentic expression of the region, shaped by its distinctive whisky tradition – Speyside pure, no more and no less.
