The Benriach The Smoky Ten is a characterful peated Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, reflecting Benriach Distillery's traditional yet experimental philosophy. As early as the 1970s, Benriach consciously returned to historical 19th-century production methods, once again distilling whisky from barley dried with Highland peat. This woody Highland peat imparts a sweet, elegant smokiness to the whisky, distinctly different from maritime Islay styles.


For The Smoky Ten, peated and unpeated distillates are combined and matured for at least ten years in three different cask types. Classic Bourbon casks, aromatic Jamaican Rum casks, and toasted Virgin Oak casks are used. This Three Cask Matured aging provides depth, structure, and a harmonious combination of fruit, smoke, and spice. Bottled at 46% Vol., uncoloured and non-chill-filtered, this Single Malt presents itself as powerful, authentic, and well-balanced.
