Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating grapevines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has steadily evolved. After farming their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionized grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. The Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now located in a renovated 17th-century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant’Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.

Grappa is one of Italy's oldest and most traditional spirits, made from pomace, the residue of grape pressing. The Grappa Riserva Privata Barricata is made from the pomace of the renowned Amarone della Valpolicella wine, known for its exceptional quality and depth. After a meticulous three-stage distillation process, this grappa matures for approximately 18 months in selected Slavonian, Limousin, and American oak barrels, developing an impressive range of flavors and extraordinary complexity.
