This Bozal Ensamble Mezcal Artesanal unites three wild agave varieties – Espadín, Barril, and Mexicano – showcasing an aromatic depth typical of Oaxaca, achievable only through traditional production methods. The three agaves originate from various altitudes in Mexico and mature for seven to twelve years before being harvested by experienced Mezcaleros. Each variety contributes its own characteristics: while Espadín, the genetic mother of the Blue Weber agave, appears earthy and slightly floral, Barril from the Karwinskii family provides delicate citrus notes and creamy textures. Mexicano, a wild Rhodacantha agave, is particularly robust and mineral, lending the Ensamble a distinctive depth.


The Bozal Espadín-Barril-Mexicano is produced using strictly artisanal methods. The agave hearts are cooked in earthen pit ovens, then crushed with a horse-drawn tahona, and fermented in open vats without the addition of artificial yeast. The double distillation preserves the unadulterated character of the agaves. Bottled in its characteristic rustic ceramic bottle, this Mezcal emphasizes its natural, wild origin and appeals to lovers of authentic, traditional agave spirits.
