Amrut Distilleries Private Limited is a company within the N.R. Jagdale Group, one of the oldest industrial groups in India, also known as the Silicon Valley of India.

The group was founded in 1948 by Mr. Radhakrishna Jagdale, initially as a small spirits blending and bottling plant.

Amrut Whisky is proud to be the first single malt whisky from India. Its name means "nectar of the gods/life" and reflects the exceptional quality and enjoyment of this whisky.

This Amrut is a single cask bottling and matures in casks that previously held port wine. Only the finest Indian grains from the foothills of the Himalayas are used and distilled in small batches according to old Indian tradition to preserve the natural flavors.

The distillate is then stored in oak casks under tropical conditions at an altitude of approximately 1000 meters in Bangalore.
