In 1939, the government of Siam decided to rename the country "Thailand," until a new constitution led to the reversal of the name, only for the name to be permanently corrected back to Thailand in 1949.

Molasses made from the distillery's own sugarcane, five-fold distillation in column stills, and aging in American ex-bourbon barrels give the Siam Edition its incomparable complex and spicy-woody character.

To ensure a constant temperature, the storage room is located underground, with an Angels' Share of between 7 and 9% per year. The barrels are refilled several times and topped up with rum of the same age until the rum is bottled after 10 years of maturation.
