The Bushmills Distillery, located in the picturesque County Antrim in Northern Ireland, is the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery. Its origins date back to 1608, when Sir Thomas Phillips received the first license to distil whiskey in the region. Bushmills 16 Year Old Single Malt is something very special, as it is matured for over sixteen years in three different types of casks: First, it matures in Bourbon casks, where it absorbs aromas of almonds and honey. It then develops its soft, balanced texture in Oloroso Sherry casks. The final maturation in Port wine casks gives it its deep ruby red color and leaves a lasting, sweet and fruity note.

The interplay of these cask types makes it a complex and full-bodied whiskey that delights even the most discerning connoisseurs.
