The cuvée is based on a finely balanced blend of 50 per cent Pinot Noir, 40 per cent Pinot Meunier and 10 per cent Chardonnay – a composition that lends this rosé champagne both structure and depth, as well as freshness and elegance. The base wines come from Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, complemented by a selection of older vintages that lend it additional maturity and complexity. The champagne is aged on the lees for several years, which gives it its silky texture, fine perlage and multi-layered aromas.
