The Tullamore Distillery was founded in 1829 by Michael Molloy in Tullamore, County Offaly, a region renowned for its grain cultivation. Later, Tullamore Dew whisky was produced by Irish Distillers in Midleton, where modern production facilities and high quality standards were utilised.

Since 2010, the brand has been part of the Scottish distilling group William Grant & Sons, which also owns Glenfiddich. Today, the whisky is produced at a modern distillery near Tullamore, which opened in 2014. This facility combines traditional production methods with modern technology to ensure the high quality of Tullamore Dew whisky.

By combining its world-renowned and multi-award-winning Tullamore D.E.W. whisky with natural honey, Tullamore brings to market a triple-distilled, triple-blended and triple-matured whisky, enriched with 100% pure honey, sugar and natural flavourings.
