The Bunnahabhain Distillery, located on the picturesque coast of the Isle of Islay, was founded in 1881 and is known for its unique, unpeated whiskies. The distillery originally relied on sea trade and experienced a turning point in 1960 with the construction of a new road, which improved logistics. After a brief closure in the 1930s and the last ship arrival in 1993, the road became the main supply route. In 2006, after the acquisition by Burn Stewart Distillers, the brand profile underwent a modern redesign. The water for the whiskies comes from limestone springs and is piped to the distillery without peat contact, which gives the whiskies their mild, characteristic taste.

AONADH, derived from Gaelic and meaning "union," is a 10-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky created through harmonious maturation in carefully selected sherry casks. Following this initial aging, the Bunnahabhain AONADH receives an exceptional finish in Port wine casks, which adds an extra dimension of taste and complexity.
