The GlenAllachie 10 Years Old French Virgin Oak Finish is a characterful Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the GlenAllachie Distillery’s Virgin Oak Series. This bottling comes from Batch 2 and was initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks before spending around 18 months finishing in French oak hogsheads. Quercus Robur from the Haute-Garonne region of France was used. The fine-pored oak was air-dried for 15 months prior to barrel-making, allowing its influence to develop in a controlled manner during the additional maturation.

The combination of classic bourbon cask maturation and the French virgin oak finish lends this ten-year-old single malt additional structure and the characteristic influence of fresh French oak. The GlenAllachie 10 Years Old is bottled at a robust 48% ABV, with the distillery consistently refraining from the use of colouring and chill filtration. As a result, the whisky is presented in its natural colour and is non-chill filtered.
