Liam Hughes and Mike Hayward set out to bring the tradition of single malt whisky distillation back to Glasgow and founded "The Glasgow Distillery Company Ltd". This name pays tribute to one of Scotland's first licensed distilleries, established as early as 1770. Operated under various names over the years, the original Glasgow Distillery Company produced a variety of whiskies, including unpeated, peated, and triple distilled single malt, until its closure in 1902.

With the founding of the new distillery, their mission to firmly re-establish the production of high-quality spirits in Glasgow now begins to be realized.

1770 Glasgow Triple Distilled Single Malt captivates with its smoothness and vitality, which make it unique. Selected finest concert barley and purest water from Loch Katrine form the basis. After a fermentation of over 72 hours, a triple distillation in copper pot stills follows, which removes heavier oils and results in a particularly light spirit. Maturation in ex-bourbon and American oak casks gives it a fruity and bright note.

Bottled at 46%, un-chillfiltered, and with natural color, this whisky presents itself as particularly harmonious.
