Billy Walker is the Master Blender of MacNair’s. He is one of Scotland's most respected blenders, having developed countless award-winning spirits during his 50-year career.

Billy selects the world's best rums and brings them to the GlenAllachie Distillery. There, the final cask selection is made and blended by Billy. This is then bottled as Exploration Rum. The bottling is done without artificial colorants or chill filtration.

Panama's volcanic soil in Central America provides the ideal growing environment for sugarcane.

The rum is distilled from sugarcane and matures in American oak casks in Panama's tropical climate. After expert blending, the rum undergoes secondary maturation for over 2 years in casks that previously held peated single malt.
