Pasote Tequila comes from the Mexican state of Jalisco and is produced in Jesús María by master distiller Felipe J. Camarena.

The name "Pasote" stands for the courageous spirit of the Aztec warriors. They usually celebrated their victories and rituals by drinking agave juice. Pasote Tequila is also distilled from blue Weber agave.

For its production, the agave hearts are baked in traditional ovens and crushed with a mechanical tahona. 40% pure rainwater and 60% spring water are used for distillation. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and then the tequila matures for two to twelve months in American oak barrels.

The bottle design features drawings dedicated to the sun god. The Pasote Reposado depicts the Jaguar Warrior – who fought on the front lines and took captives for the sun god. The bottles are handcrafted by a family of glass artisans in Mexico.
