Description
Description
On the rugged coast of the unique Isle of Skye, south of Dunvegan, nestled directly on the shore of a bay as if by magic, lies the snow-white little distillery of Talisker. Two brothers founded the distillery in 1831. After their death, numerous others attempted to continue running the distillery. All failed until a financial administrator and a wine and spirits merchant successfully took over. Talisker was triple distilled until 1928, and only double distilled thereafter. After a fire in 1960, the distillery was rebuilt true to its original design. Today, Talisker belongs to the spirits group Diageo.
Talisker Surge was shaped by the sea, from rugged coastlines and powerful storms to warming sunrays and the ever-present sky - the Isle of Skye flows through Talisker's veins and invigorates souls.
The spirit of this unique place is captured in this richly spiced whisky, transporting adventurous travelers to this amazing island.
This Travel Retail bottling is finished in American bourbon casks to achieve its deliciously sweet taste. An additional layer of spice rounds off this rich single malt with a subtle smoky profile, while retaining the unique maritime characteristics of this iconic coastal distillery.
