The philosophy of Plantation Rum:

The exclusive rums from the Plantation series are rare treasures from independent distilleries, mostly located in their respective sugarcane fields, producing in their own traditional way. Distillation methods vary depending on the plantation and country of origin. Pot still distillation produces soft, aromatic rums, while column stills yield light, elegant rums.

The freshly cut sugarcane from the plantation is pressed to extract its juice, which is then either gently heated into molasses or directly fermented into sugarcane juice, or "vesou." These ingredients then go into the traditional stills customary to each country.

The Plantation Rum BLACK CASK Barbados & Cuba Rum is a unique blend. The initial aging takes place for several years in 200-liter Bourbon barrels from Barbados and Cuba. Afterwards, the rums are shipped to France to further mature in small toasted Ferrand casks.
