On the wild and romantic coast of the Isle of Skye, south of Dunvegan, lies the picturesque, snow-white Talisker Distillery, founded in 1831 by two brothers. After their deaths, numerous successors tried to successfully continue the distillery, but all failed. Only a financial administrator and a wine and spirits merchant managed to take it over. After a devastating fire in 1960, the distillery was faithfully rebuilt.

This whisky, part of Diageo's Special Release Series 2022, is presented under the motto "Elusive Expressions," which includes rare bottlings brought to life by artwork and stories about mythical creatures. Each bottling is bottled at individual cask strength, without chill filtration or added coloring, to preserve its purity.

The Talisker Whisky in this series is 11 years old and matures in both first-fill and refill bourbon casks as well as wine-seasoned casks, which shape its distinctive character.
