The Tomintoul Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands in Cairngorms National Park and named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, opened its doors in 1964 and is now owned by Angus Dundee Distillers.

At an altitude of 370 meters above sea level, Tomintoul is Scotland's second-highest distillery, surpassed only by the Braeval Distillery, founded in 1973. Although the majority of the 3.2 million liters of alcohol produced annually is exported to the United States for blends, Tomintoul regularly releases special single cask bottlings.

Tomintoul's Small Batch Cask Finish series is a remarkable no-age-statement series characterized by its unique finish in a variety of casks. This whisky initially matures in bourbon casks, developing its characteristic aromas, and then receives its finish in Tawny Port Casks, which give it additional depth and a rich note. This special maturation combination ensures a harmonious and multifaceted flavor profile that delights both connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
