The Sailor's Home Distillery is an homage to the restless, the explorers and the adventurers. In 1856, Sailor's Home was built near the Shannon Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Island Series from Sailor's Home reflects the pursuit of whisky experiences. Exceptional whiskies with unique flavors from rum casks of the Caribbean islands are used for production.
THE HORIZON bottling is made from a blend of 10-year-old Irish Grain and Irish Single Malt whiskeys. These are each aged for 10 years in ex-Bourbon oak casks, followed by a finish in selected Barbados rum casks, which leads to lush and refined flavors. These are typical of Caribbean rums.
