Volcan de Mi Tierra X.A. Tequila is a premium 100 per cent agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, which combines different ageing styles to create a complex blend. The designation X.A. stands for ‘Extra Assemblage’ and refers to the unique concept behind this bottling. For the X.A., Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo tequilas are blended together, combining the freshness and expressiveness of the agave with the characteristics of cask ageing periods of varying lengths. The raw material is 100 per cent blue Weber agave, with Volcan de Mi Tierra using agaves from various growing regions in Jalisco to introduce different character traits into the production process. With an alcohol content of 40 per cent, the X.A. is a sophisticated tequila in which the character of the agave and the barrel ageing are deliberately balanced.
