The Slyrs Distillery has been producing the first and only Upper Bavarian single malt whisky since 1999, made using the traditional rough and fine distillation process. The name "Slyrs" is a pseudo-Gaelic variation of "Schliersee," the distillery's hometown, and reflects the regional connection and traditional craftsmanship expressed in every drop of this whisky.

Bavarian barley malt is carefully mashed and gently double-distilled in small copper pot stills to ensure the purity and quality of the distillate. The Slyrs Alpine Herbs Liqueur, which then matures for three years in new American white oak barrels in the clear Alpine air, develops its unique character during this time.

Botanicals such as angelica root, gentian, orris root, centaury, chamomile blossoms, and juniper contribute significantly to the distinctive taste that makes this whisky liqueur so special.
