The Bunnahabhain Distillery, located on the picturesque coast of the Isle of Islay, was founded in 1881 and is known for its unique, unpeated whiskies. The distillery originally relied on sea trade and experienced a turning point in 1960 with the construction of a new road, which improved logistics. After a brief closure in the 1930s and the last ship arrival in 1993, the road became the main supply route. In 2006, following the acquisition by Burn Stewart Distillers, the brand profile underwent a modern redesign. The water for the whiskies comes from limestone springs and is piped to the distillery without peat contact, which gives the whiskies their mild, distinctive taste.

Bunnahabhain 30 Years Old is characterized by its elegant character and stands out from other Islay bottlings due to its lower peat content. Maturation for three decades in carefully selected ex-sherry casks ensures a rich and complex flavor profile. Under the supervision of the master distiller, harmonious aromas develop, which are only bottled after complete maturation.
