Código 1530 Tequila is a premium tequila brand that originated in Amatitán, a town in the Jalisco region of Mexico. It is known for its high-quality, artisanal production methods and its commitment to creating exceptional tequilas.

The name "Código 1530" is inspired by the centuries-old code that dictates the precise method of tequila production in the Los Bajos region of Jalisco. This code was established to preserve the integrity and quality of tequila production.

To produce Código 1530 Reposado, the distillers use the same high-quality 100% blue Weber agave that is used for all Código tequilas. The agaves are harvested at their peak ripeness and cooked in traditional brick ovens to extract their flavors and sugars. After cooking, the agave is crushed, and the juice is fermented with a yeast strain developed by Código. The fermented liquid is then double distilled in small copper pot stills, a process that helps refine the tequila's character and ensures a smooth and consistent product. Código 1530's Reposado expression undergoes an aging process of up to six months. During this time, the tequila rests in French white oak barrels from Napa Valley Cabernet. This aging imparts rich flavors, aromas, and a beautiful golden hue to the tequila.
