The Equiano Light Rum is the bright, fresh variant of the multi-award-winning Equiano Rum, which is the world's first rum to symbolize a transatlantic connection between Africa and the Caribbean. This "Light" bottling represents a modern rum style with a clear, elegant structure and high standards of quality. The rum is made from a finely tuned combination of unaged rum from fresh sugarcane juice from Africa and a lightly aged molasses rum from the Caribbean, specifically from the renowned Foursquare Distillery in Barbados and Gray’s Distillery in Mauritius.

In contrast to the darker original version, Equiano Light aims for a lighter aromatic profile – ideal for classic long drinks and modern rum cocktails. The aging takes place in former American bourbon barrels, but only for a limited time, so that the freshness of the ingredients remains paramount. With an alcohol content of 43% Vol. and the elegant 0.7-liter bottle, this rum is both visually and tastefully a statement for modern rum culture without additives, colorants, or sugar.
