After a few summer nights with gin and tonic, a young couple from Austria realized their dream and produced their own gin. Distillation takes place in a wood-fired copper still, which has been run for generations. An encounter with a supposedly blue snake led to the idea of creating something mysterious – a natural color change in the gin.

Munakra Dry Gin is made from 16, 100% natural botanicals. These include juniper berries, hibiscus flowers, rose petals, elderflower, red grapes, rose hips, and lemons.

The gin's original color is a purplish-pink, but it changes color when it comes into contact with acid, such as tonic water. The color change from brilliant white to deep red is 100% natural and is due to infusion with the unique bloom of the cotton rose.

This dry gin is bottled by hand in small batches in the heart of Vienna, the Austrian capital.
