Distillation takes place traditionally in copper pot stills to best capture the full aromas. Particularly remarkable is the double maturation: First, the rum is stored in barrels made from Incienso Marron, a rare type of wood that imparts a slightly spicy and smoky note. Afterwards, it is further refined in French oak barrels, which rounds out its flavor profiles and gives it extraordinary depth.
