The Kilchoman 100% Islay The 13th Edition 2023 Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a distinctive bottling from the Kilchoman Distillery, embodying the distillery's consistent Single Farm Single Malt approach. This Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled from Islay-grown barley, cultivated on the distillery's own fields in 2012, 2013, and 2014. The whisky then matured for at least 8 years before 44 ex-Bourbon Barrels were selected for the 13th Edition 2023 bottling. The selection includes casks of three different ages, with the youngest cask being eight years old. This edition was bottled at 50% ABV, without chill-filtration and without coloring, thus clearly preserving its original character.


It is particularly noteworthy that this 100% Islay Edition is the first bottling since 2019 to have matured exclusively in Bourbon casks. The focus on predominantly fresh Bourbon casks gives the whisky a pronounced structure and emphasizes Kilchoman's clear, agriculturally driven style. From barley field to malting, distillation, maturation, and bottling, this 100% Islay Whisky remains entirely on the island and only leaves Islay as a finished bottling.
