Ampersand Distilling Company is a family-run, craft distillery, idyllically situated on a five-acre farm in the Cowichan Valley. Stephen and Jeremy Schacht, a father-son duo with engineering backgrounds, use their extensive knowledge of science and traditional distillation techniques to produce exceptional spirits in their handcrafted distillery.

In 2007, Stephen and Ramona moved to the Cowichan Valley to start a vegetable farm. Their son Jeremy, fascinated by the art of distillation, sought a way to creatively use his degree in process engineering. The result of these efforts is Ampersand Distilling Company – a new family business that successfully combines innovation and tradition.

At Ampersand, it's all about bringing together the best of different worlds: ingredients and techniques, science and art, tradition and innovation. This creates delicious spirits that should not be missing in any well-stocked bar.
