Ampersand Distilling Company is a family-run, artisanal distillery, idyllically situated on a five-hectare farm in the Cowichan Valley. Stephen and Jeremy Schacht, a father-and-son duo with backgrounds in engineering, draw on their extensive knowledge of science and traditional distillation techniques to produce exceptional spirits at their artisanal distillery.

In 2007, Stephen and Ramona moved to the Cowichan Valley to set up a vegetable farm. Their son Jeremy, fascinated by the art of distillation, was looking for a way to put his degree in process engineering to creative use. The result of these efforts is the Ampersand Distilling Company – a new family business that successfully combines innovation and tradition.
